On Wednesday, April 22, our team hosted a lunch and learn where we took deep dive into Salesforce Maps and the Covid-19 layer. We used Salesforce Maps to create an application to track medical supply trucks as they are re-routed in real-time. In our scenario, one of our clients uses Salesforce Maps with the service cloud to optimize their workflow. They are able to track when a breakdown happens and find local service dealers to repair the truck and get it back on the road.
The Covid-19 layer allows a salesforce user to create a Salesforce Maps application to plan routes, manage territories, and continue to run their business during the pandemic. It is updated daily with data directly from Johns Hopkins University and can be customized to fit your unique needs. If you have any questions on how to use the Covid-19 layer or get started with Salesforce Maps, please contact us!
